A Blog Tour You Don’t Want to Miss!

Book Blogger Convention We are SO excited to be hosting the Book Blogger Convention!  It is going to be amazing.  Last year, was my first time going to Book Expo America and my first time visiting New York City (on my own too!).  I was nervous and I had a lot of questions.  I’m sure many of you are asking yourselves, why should I go to Book Expo America and more importantly, the Book Blogger Convention?  What will I get out of it?  And if I do go, what is it like?  What kind people are going to be there?  Do they bite? How should I prepare?  Do I really need business cards?  What’s the best way to talk to publishers and publicists?  Should I wear jeans?  What’s the best way to get from the airport into Manhattan?  Any can’t miss restaurants?  Best way to see the sites?

You’ve got questions, we have answers!  For the next two weeks, we will be visiting bloggers who want to share with you their experience as well as tips and advice.  Be sure to follow along!  This is going to be a wealth of information.

I’m loving the tour, and everyone seems to be saying the same things, but I had a question for anyone that wants to chime in. Specifically everyone’s said, BRING BUSINESS CARDS! I have cards already created that are the mini MOOs (http://us.moo.com/en/products/minicards.php) but they don’t have any information beyond my name, number, email and blog address. Should I get new ones made up with more on them, like the kinds of books I’m interested in and my Twitter name?

Rachel everyone puts different information on their business cards. I think ultimately it’s up to you what and how much information you share. I know I put my address & phone number on mine but not everyone does.
